These 3 Weddings Will Make You Cry. I Mean It.

Weddings can be heartbreaking for tons of reasons, but these three--oh, guys. I haven't been able to stop thinking about these three. Maybe you should just go get that box of tissues now....

* Diana Hayes and her fiance had their wedding all set for April 27. Sadly, Diana's father, Ed, has terminal cancer--and his doctors weren't sure that he would be able to make it. His last wish was to see his daughter get married. The couple moved the ceremony to April 1 and had it at the the Massachusetts General Hospital's Yawkey Healing Garden, so that Ed could escort Diana down the aisle (which he did from his wheelchair). It was an emotional ceremony--which you can see even in the video clip linked above--and afterward, Ed renewed his vows with his wife.

* Just two hours before he was due to marry his fiancée, 62-year-old David Chubsey's house burned to the ground. While he was in it. He attempted to move flammable items away from the fire--which had started when an electrical wire fell to the floor--but there was no hope. David finally escaped with singed hair and ears, and blackened mouth and nose from breathing in so much smoke. Paramedics asked him to get medical attention--especially since David suffers from emphysema--but he was insistent that he make it to the wedding on time. He wore his smoky clothes down the aisle (with a borrowed jacket on top) and married his bride right on schedule.

* 21-year-old Rodney Conradi and 22-year-old Lynsie Rainford met at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital in Seattle, where they were both undergoing cancer treatment (he had a rare form of cancer, Ewing's sarcoma; she had leukemia). They soon fell in love and the couple got married two days after Valentine's Day, in the basement of the hospital, with Rodney's brother and sister as best man and maid of honor. Rodney said it was the best day of his life. One day after the wedding, he had to be sedated due to the amount of pain he was in; a month later, he died.

Before their wedding day, Rodney had told a news reporter: "What matters is love and showing the person you love how much you love them. That's what people will remember. We realize never to end a conversation on a bad note or ruin any day over an argument. Because you don't know how many days are left, and do you want to waste them being angry at the love of your life? Love is the only thing that matters, really."

If you'll excuse me... I need to find another box of tissues.

What's your reaction to these bittersweet weddings?
